savers style: part 1

here it is!

i recently visited a savers for the first time. savers is a thrift store, similar to goodwill. i LOVE thrifting!

i decided to do a two part post, this being part one, about how i would style my new thrift finds.

lets get started!

purchase: lace monteau l.a. dress: $8

one of my favorite styling techniques is to put together two pieces that wouldn't conventionally be put together. for example: lace and camo. this combo is a little bit rugged, a little bit lady-like with a smidge of edge.

earrings: kendra scott "elle" in white pearl
camo vest: forever XXI (thrifted)
lucite handbag: bebe
heels: sam and libby for target

purchase: kimchi blue knit top: $5

i am going through a major camo phase right now! i love to mix feminine and masculine pieces to round out an outfit. a coordinating statement necklace and knotted wedges finish off the look.

statement necklace: walmart
camo skinnies: aeropostale
knot wedges: target

purchase: love culture peplum top: $8

peplum + anything high-waisted = a match made in heaven! for summer i opted for tuxedo shorts and matching satin peep-toes. i love that my statement necklace and the top are on different ends of the color spectrum but are both shades of green and compliment each other beautifully.

earrings: kendra scott "elle" in black
statement necklace: walmart
tuxedo shorts: forever XXI
handbag: white house black market
satin peep-toe heels: payless

purchase: michael kors cognac heels: $5

i want to find the person that donated these and HUG them! they are comfortable, versatile and GORGEOUS! i accentuated the gold paint on the heels with a metallic sweater. the leopard shorts keep the whole look a tad "rocker" chic but still appropriate for day.

gold headband: goody (walmart)
sweater: LAMB
coin necklace: forever XXI
shorts: forever XXI (thrifted)

purchase: mimi chicha floral dress: $6

i thought this dress had an earthy, vintage feel so i paired it with natural materials like suede and straw. i took advantage of the built-in waistline by further accentuating it with a cute belt.

embroidered belt: loft
straw bag: hand-me-down
platform shoes: urban outfitters

purchase: mossimo snake-embossed heels: $4

these shoes aren't something i'd normally picture myself wearing often, but for $4 i thought they'd be perfect with a lot of my fall outfits. i managed to put together a summery outfit that incorporated summer shapes made with heavier fabrics that compliment the warm feel of the heels.

statement earring: hand-me-down
pearl stud: walmart
crop-top: vintage
velvet skater skirt: forever XXI (thrifted)

and there you have it! end part 1 and stay tuned tomorrow for part 2!

currently on my nails:

revlon colorstay in rich raspberry

see y'all tomorrow!

XOXO.
